As its name suggests, bark tree is not timber; it is the bark of Cottonwood, a tree with stout tormented branches. The bark is very thick. Over time, it loosens and falls to the ground. I know nothing more delicate to carve.

Traditionally, we use bark tree to carve whimsical houses and wood spirits.
